Sean Fung Lap Shun

Sean is an experienced counsellor and play therapist based in Hong Kong, with a strong focus on supporting children, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. He holds a Bachelor in Social Science (Hons.) in Counselling and Psychology from Hong Kong Shue Yan University and a Professional Diploma in Play Therapy from Hong Kong. As a full member of the Hong Kong Association for Play Therapy, Sean is dedicated to advancing his expertise through ongoing professional development.

With over 15 years of counselling experience, Sean specialises in child-centred play therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy. His work primarily supports local Chinese and ethnic minority children, adolescents, and families, helping them navigate emotional, social, behavioural and relationship challenges.

In his role, Sean manages the playroom and oversees timeslot bookings and operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all users. He has set up play therapy rooms in special schools and kindergartens, providing essential services to children with special educational needs (SEN).

Sean also conducts personal growth training and workshops for parents and children, empowering parents with play therapy skills to foster their children's healthy development. His approach emphasizes creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to express themselves and build self-confidence.
Outside of his professional life, Sean is known for his warm and approachable nature. He is passionate about helping others and finds balance through meaningful connections and continuous learning.
